Why Istanbul?
Welcoming You to Our Home
Ayda's family is Turkish, and this city is woven into their story. Her father still speaks fondly of playing soccer in 1964 — on the very ground where we will celebrate. Her sister and best friend, Sara, spent time living in Istanbul, and the family holds many deep connections to this city.
Rashad's family has visited Istanbul many times over the years — and a few years ago, they chose to call it home. Their love for Türkiye runs strong. With both families, and the two of us, so deeply connected to these coordinates, we are excited to welcome our loved ones into a city that means so much.
